22.05.12
Change is afoot here at Traffic Talk. First, but not necessarily foremost – I will be taking over the column from my esteemed former colleague Cami Reister, who has left the Press.
Second, our go-to traffic-law expert with the Michigan State Police, Sgt. Mike Church, is taking on new duties and will no longer be fielding our rules-of-the-road questions. MSP First Lt. Thad Peterson has generously volunteered to step in as our new expert source. Both of us have big shoes to fill.
The Press' former transportation reporter, Kyla King, started the column early in 2011 after stories began generating reader questions by the dozens about traffic minutiae. Since then it has evolved into an entertaining, illuminating feature on MLive and in the Press.
