How to write SQL Server 2000 SP to run 2 other stored procedures?

Hi there,
I have been given 2 stored procedures - one of which returns 2 items

I need to write another stored procedure to run this one, and interrogate one of the outputs.
If it is a '1' then it should execute another stored

The way to call another SP from a SP is to use the EXEC command. It it returns data then you use the OUTPUT keyword. The following is an example of calling the SP and using the returned data:

EXEC second_sp @first_input_param, @second_input_param,
